From an early age Timber Lewinski had an intense love for creating. In his youth he was always looking to be part of the arts, theater, and musical culture of his community. At age seven he started to play piano by ear and by age nine he was given his first keyboard. From that point on his love for creating sound and writing music took hold.

Although a dyslexic self-taught pianist, Lewinski aspired to more. In high school, after taking an electronic music class, Lewinski decided that he had a passion and talent for composing. He took many music classes and even created his own class to focus on creating a library of original compositions. He graduated with an Artistic Achievement Award and as part of the school’s Honor Society.

After high school, Lewinski earned an Associate of Arts Music Degree with honors from Holyoke Community College (HCC). There he had his first formal piano lessons and studied piano under Ania Bostock and local teacher Barbara Yates. While at HCC, he was able to help create a handbell ensemble and get teaching experience at the local Boys and Girls Club. Lewinski has also performed three recitals in his hometown of South Hadley, the last of which was a debut of an original piano work, Carlisle.

Lewinski pursued music composition at Salem State University (SSU) under Dr. Philip Swanson, and in addition to his music degree, Lewinski obtained a certification in Music Technology and a minor in Media and Communications, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction. Lewinski seeks to expand his knowledge of musical software and has a high interest in the practice, theory, and cultures of world music. While at SSU he also formed a strong portfolio of compositional work including collaborations with the university's Percussion Ensemble and Dance Program. He even got to write, direct, and produce "Music Today", a program featuring guest artists on Salem Access Television.

Since graduating, Lewinski scored his first feature film Illuminate (2021), a short titled Scars (2022), released his debut EP Within The Static (2019), expanded his compositional library, and has worked for numerous non-profit arts organizations throughout Greater Boston. He continues to gain experience in various recording studios throughout New England and is currently working on his first studio album under his own label Ripcurrent Records.
